it was purely an honour to be present at that event.. so many things to learn and its good to see that there are still people who shares knowledge rather than selling.
at the parallel programming session, the concept behind parallel programming, multi core facility, drawbacks of serial programming, multiple threading and parallel threading, lambda expression usage etc were discussed..
next there was a discussion on the improvements and changes in the base class library of the dot net framework 4.0 were discussed with the history of the the .net ..
lets just not talk about lunch.. felt like celebrating manage ceremony.
frankly I have barely heard of the entity framework as because of my lack of interest on database programming. but not any more.. Rajiv popat is a great person.. he made the session so much more interesting.. i few quotes on his chitchats...
i> what is a var type.. he says.. "if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck,, then may be its a duck". this is how the compiler thinks when it gets a var data type..
ii> how to be technology aware!! ... he says.."attend some technology awareness program and sit silent as if you don't give a shit. then attend some more and start raising hands sometimes.. and finally go on to the stage and make a complete fool out of your self.."....
the day ends with a give-away of some murchendices...
cant wait for the next one..
